This plan is for game console and PC games that are sold as an upfront-purchase without any in-app purchases or subscription elements.

Publisher can choose a payment plan from the following 2 options.

Please note that changes to the payment method are not allowed after the contract has been completed.

Payment Option (1)

Business Size of Publishers

Business size is determined based on the annual sales of the publisher. The business size classifications are Large-Scale Enterprise, Middle-Scale Enterprise, Small-Scale Enterprise and General User.

How to Calculate the License Fee

  • Total amount of one-time fee = Large-Scale Enterprise: ¥3,600,000, Middle-Scale Enterprise: ¥600,000
  • * License fees are charged based on the total amount of one-time fee, regardless of the number of Publish Regions or Platforms.
  • * There will be no additional license fee required if the same content is released for iOS, Android, or Web.

Business Size of Publishers

Business size is determined based on the annual sales of the publisher. The business size classifications are Large-Scale Enterprise, Middle-Scale Enterprise, Small-Scale Enterprise and General User.

How to Calculate the License Fee

  • License fee = License fee for each unit produced (¥40) × Number of units produced
  • * The license fees for the minimum guaranteed quantity shall be paid at the time when the agreement is concluded. If the number of units produced exceeds the minimum guaranteed quantity, the excess number of units should be reported quarterly and invoiced accordingly.
  • * In the case of downloadable content, a license fee of 1,000 units will be invoiced at the start of sales, and additional license fees will be invoiced for each additional 1,000 units sold thereafter.
  • * The license fees are charged based on the total number of units produced on all Platforms.
  • * A licensee must notify Live2D Inc. within two months if its business size (determined by annual sales) changed.When such notification is made or when Live2D was able to prove that the licensee business size changed, the licensee shall enter into a separate Live2D Publication License Agreement based on the above price table retroactive to the month in which the business size changed.
  • * When the same content is released by multiple publishers in a single Publish Region, it is necessary for each publisher to conclude an agreement and pay the publication license fee. (Some exceptions may apply to direct affiliates.)
    However, when sublicensing from a licensee to another publisher, it is possible to contract using payment option (1) based on the licensee’s business size or payment method (2) without minimum guarantee regardless of the licensee’s business scale.
