“Kurobarano Valkyrie” is a culmination of the idea factory as the first “IDEA FACTORY INTERNATIONAL” brand, featuring Mr. Kosuke Fujishima as character design and Takumi Miyajima as scenario. In order to realize this project with ambitious elements that challenge new things while making full use of the technology and know-how that has been cultivated, the content is a little different from our previous titles It is a gathered team.

Create expressions intended by designers by creating models for each pose

At Kurobarano Valkyrie, we tried to express more attractive characters by incorporating animation without compromising the appeal of 2D. This time, I chose to create a model for each pose in terms of how to capture the character standing picture from the designer into Live2D. As a result, I think I was able to put it into the game without losing the expression that the designer intended.

The designer ’s intended expression

Develop efficiently while taking advantage of the charm of standing pictures

In our work, 2D graphics (characters) are one of the great attractions. I heard a detailed story at the meeting before the introduction, etc., and looked at the created sample, etc. I felt that Live2D was very compatible because 3D animation expression could be varied in 2D. By using the PSD import function and clipping function, you can import the created standing pictures as they are and move to model creation, which is helpful for efficient development while taking advantage of the charms of standing pictures.

Expectations for Live2D= Full Live2D content that can be viewed from anywhere, but it is 2D

Even now that 3D expressions are used as a matter of course, content such as 2D, especially characters, will never be abolished in this country called Japan. In two dimensions, where a single completed picture is important, it is easy to make a difference in expression in terms of movement in three dimensions (especially in interactive works). However, although the technique of rendering moving 3D like 2D has always been studied, it is quite difficult to achieve 2D. I think Live2D can achieve this without any discomfort.
And thorough investigation to go background content not only the character also Live2D was created in, where the full-length views of the 2D Yet 360 degrees look Live2D I think that it would be close also the coming interactive content that has been configured with.
