Tokyo, Japan, February 3rd, 2014 - Cybernoids and Crypton Future Media jointly announced that the two companies will collaborate in supporting creators worldwide through contributing their proprietary character, technologies, and related assets.

Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer who has gained popularity among fans and creators worldwide, and many creators across various genre have produced their work featuring the character. This collaboration between Hatsune Miku and Live2D will realize a new form of visual art and encourage creators to explore such art form.

Empowering creators with new possibilities

Combining visual capabilities of Live2D and the vocal of vocaloids such as Hatsune Miku opens up new possibilities. By using the Live2D model of Hatsune Miku, creators can now control a Live2D model and create works with synthesized vocals without having to build an interactive model on their own.

Instruction book bundled with a Live2D model of Hatsune Miku

As the first output of this collaboration, an instruction book of Live2D was published by SB Creative and is now available in stores. The book guides through the process of modeling and animation using Live2D Cubism Editor software and features Hatsune Miku with which readers learn the process with the complete Hatsune Miku model.
